About Author Melissa Mitchell

Melissa is a physics PhD by day and fantasy writer by night. She obtained her doctorate from the University of California and currently lives in Georgia with her husband and fur babies. She is a Senior Design Engineer for a large North American lighting company designing optics for lights.

On her weekends, she spends her time reading and writing. She has a passion for creating intricate worlds with exciting characters. While fantasy is her favorite genre, she enjoys dabbling in paranormal romance, science fiction, and steampunk.

Melissa got her start on Wattpad where she has over 120,000 followers. Her book Talon the Black has reached 5M reads on Wattpad. It was the call for physical copies that drove her to the world of indie publishing. Writing and publishing is a hobby, but she hopes to make it a full time job some day.

Melissa is an avid reader and book reviewer. She reads 2 to 3 books per week and reviews for large publishing companies via ARCs and backlist titles.
